Ai Chi

This water-based total body strengthening class combines Tai-Chi and Qigong concepts with Watsu techniques.  It is performed in shoulder depth, warm water using a combination of deep breathing and slow, broad movements of the arm, legs and torso. Ai Chi increases oxygen and caloric consumption, assists with increased range of motion, increases blood flow to joints, tendons and muscles as well as induces a deep state of relaxation perfect for minimizing stress, anxiety and depression.

If you are a new participant, please arrive 15 minutes early for instruction and demo.

GlideFit H.I.I.T.

Take your cross-training to the next level with this High Intensity Interval Training class — set in the pool. We’ve combined cardio moves and strength training to create this fun, yet challenging, class based on the principle of aquatic stability training.

GlideFit Yoga

Practicing yoga on the GlideFit float requires your full attention — mind, body and soul — to move from one posture to the next, while maintaining your balance. The practice will build gradually and then return you to your Savasana.

Watsu

    (By Appointment Only)
Watsu is the most advanced aquatic bodywork that incorporates massage techniques, stretching and mediation and is done one on one in our warm water therapy pool. The warmth of the water softens and relaxes the muscles to allow for deeper, more concentrated work. The support of the water enables the therapist to take the body into further range of motion without the risk of harm to the client. The slow, secure movements and the security and warmth of the water put you into a deeper state of relaxation. Watsu is the gentlest massage you can receive while also the most effective. Watsu is unique to this area and is currently ONLY available here at TWC. Watsu is available for members as well as nonmembers.
